A marketplace connecting people who need everyday work done — electrical repairs, tutoring, haircuts — with the providers who do it. Seekers post a request, tag it by the kind of service required, and rate the provider once the job is finished.

The product was built across three repositories over two university courses: a native Android client in Java, a Laravel web platform sharing the same domain, and a PHP API sitting in front of the shared MySQL database. Providers, service requests, ratings and a many-to-many request tagging scheme make up the core schema.

Key Features:

  • Provider profiles with the services they offer
  • Service request lifecycle from posting through to completion
  • Tag-based categorisation with many-to-many request tagging
  • Provider ratings recorded per completed request
  • Native Android client alongside the browser experience
  • Shared API so both clients read one source of truth

Tech Stack:

  • Mobile: Java, Android, Gradle Kotlin DSL
  • Web: Laravel, PHP, Blade
  • API: PHP
  • Database: MySQL

Built with fellow Lebanese University students across the I3350 and I3302 courses.
